Donald Davidson spoke of an inherited memory, a “folk-chain” binding us to a tradition that tells us who we are, where we are, where we belong, what we live by, what we live for.

My aim here is to follow that chain from the vantage of a Southern book collector and digital archivist.

What I share is freely given. If you're moved to support the work, I won't argue. Each entry takes time, often considerable, and many come with PDFs for those inclined to dig deeper.

Raises a glass (Bourbon, of course). Cheers.
